Arusha is a lively city in northern Tanzania, often called the safari capital of East Africa. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, it’s the gateway to world-famous destinations like Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Kilimanjaro. With its mix of bustling markets, cultural heritage, and breathtaking scenery, Arusha is both a vibrant hub and a perfect starting point for adventure.

PACKING LIST

  2. Warm clothes in case of chilly weather. Having a maasai shuka is good.
  3. Swimming costumes 
  4. Sandals or open shoes 
  5. Sunblocks: sunscreen, sunglasses,sun hats 
  6. Cash money to change at the border for personal use 
  7. Snack/drinks/extra water 
  8. If you need to use phone for calls load it with lots of credit 
  9. Get a tanzanian simcard for easy communication 
  10. Purchase a Tanzanian sim card at the border

Day 1: Nairobi - Arusha Meeting (Point: International House, opposite Hilton Hotel )

Meeting Time: 5:00 AM 

Departure: Strictly at 5:30 AM (Kindly keep time) 

We will begin our journey early in the morning, heading towards the Namanga border. Along the way, we’ll enjoy scenic landscapes with several stopovers for refreshments and photo opportunities. 

Upon arrival in Arusha, we will have lunch at AIM Mall or a selected local restaurant (self-sponsored). 

After lunch, we will explore the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre, a rich hub of Tanzanian history, art, and culture. Following the tour, we’ll proceed to our hotel for check-in and freshening up. 

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel. For those interested, we’ll also explore Arusha’s nightlife, visiting some of the best party spots in town (optional). 

Overnight stay at the hotel in Arusha. 

Day 2 Kikuletwa Hot Springs & Lake Duluti Adventure

8:00 AM: Wake up and enjoy a hearty breakfast served at the hotel. 

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Kikuletwa Hot Springs, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and relaxing atmosphere. 

10:00 AM: Arrival at Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Enjoy swimming, relaxing, and taking in the natural beauty. 

Lunch: Group lunch will be held around Kikuletwa or at Lake Duluti (self-sponsored). 

3:00 PM: Depart from Kikuletwa and head to Lake Duluti, where we'll enjoy a scenic evening boat ride. This peaceful experience offers beautiful views of the lake and its surrounding forested hills. 

After returning to the hotel: 

Freshen up and enjoy dinner. 

Day 3 Meru Forest – Nairobi

7:00 AM: Wake up 

8:00 AM: Breakfast will be served at the hotel 

After breakfast and check-out, we’ll depart for Meru Forest for a short hike to the beautiful Napuru Waterfalls, where you can enjoy the refreshing waters flowing from the slopes of Mt. Meru. 

Following the hike, we’ll head to Meru Camp for an exciting session of quad biking and ziplining, cruising through the forest trails and soaking in the adventure. 

Departure from Meru Camp: By 1:00 PM latest 

Lunch: Group lunch at AIM Mall (self-sponsored) 

Departure from AIM Mall: By 3:00 PM latest 

We'll then begin our journey back to Nairobi via the Namanga border. After clearing with immigration, we’ll continue with our drive back. 

EAT in Nairobi: 9:30 PM
