Day 1 Begin at Umbwe Gate

Begin at Umbwe Gate (1,600m), trekking along a steep forest trail to reach Umbwe Cave Camp (2,940m). This is one of the most direct ascents on Kilimanjaro.

Day 2 Ascend to Barranco Camp (2,940m)

Continue climbing sharply through thick forest and emerging moorland until you reach the dramatic Barranco Camp (3,976m), with stunning views of the Barranco Wall.

Day 3 Ascend to Karanga Camp (3,976m)

Climb the iconic Barranco Wall, then traverse alpine valleys and ridges to reach Karanga Camp (3,995m), an important acclimatization stop.

Day 4 Ascend to Barafu Camp (4,673m)

Ascend steadily over rocky terrain to Barafu Camp (4,673m), the base camp for summit night. Prepare for the final push.

Day 5 Ascend to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

 Start summit attempt just after midnight, reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at sunrise. After enjoying the views from the highest point in Africa, descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for overnight rest.

Day 6 Descent to Mweka Gate (1,640m

Final descent through montane forest to Mweka Gate (1,640m), where climbers receive summit certificates.

 At the gate, our support vehicle will be ready to transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, where you can relax and celebrate your achievement with a well-deserved rest.
