Day 1 Pickup from Nairobi to Mt Kenya

Departing from Nairobi a 4 hours drive, we shall have a stop over at Nanyuki town to assess whether you have all the requisite trekking gears. We will begin the trek from Sirimon gate through the thick Rainforest, then via bamboo forest to Heather zone which has short shrubs, the thick forest Harbours a wide range of wildlife, e.g waterbuck, zebra, buffaloes, elephants, Eland but are harmless and safe for hiking. We stay at old moses camp for the night 

Hike distance - 9 km h 

Elevation old moses camp - 3300m asl

Elevation gain-650 M asl

Day 2 Hiking to Shiptons camp

Begin the hike to Shipton camp via beautiful valleys and scenic views via ontulili valley,Then cross the magical likii valley and later  mackinders valley which goes all the way to 

Shipton camp at an elevation of 4200 m asl. 

Shiptons - 4200 m asl

Distance - 14km

Elevation gain - 900 m asl

Level of difficulty - Average

Day 3 Summit attempt

Begin the summit attempt by 0300 hrs and hike along the scree on bare rocks and  reach the summit Point at around 0600 hrs as you enjoy the magical views of Batian, Nelion, Thompson flakes and enjoy photos shoot at point lenana 4985 m asl and then descend to Shiptons camp for breakfast and later descend to oldmoses camp for the night.

Distance - 14km

Level of difficulty - tough because of walking long hours and summiting as well

Distance - 6 km

Elevation gain 785 m asl

Day 4 Descend to Sirimon gate then head back to Nairobi

You will descend to Sirimon gate via Serene Thick forest, enjoy the Wildlife in the rainforest ready for pickup at Sirimon gate and bid goodbye to the crew and head back to Nairobi.
